A liquid multi metal corrosion inhibitor patented formulation with emulsifying properties
Features
Mobile liquid with high activity at low concentrations
Prevents staining of aluminium and aluminium alloys
Inhibits corrosion of aluminium and its alloys in non-acidic environments
Inhibits ferrous metal corrosion in both aqueous and non-aqueous media
Inhibits staining and corrosion of copper and copper alloys when used at the typical concentrations of other liquid copper passivators currently available
Soluble in water and a wide range of polar organic solvents
Applications
Suitable for use in a wide range of industrial and cleaning applications, including emulsions, water based hydraulic fluids, metalworking fluids, fuels, surface coatings, surface cleaners, leak detection fluids and quenchant fluids.
Typical end use concentration
Typical treat rate in all applications : 0.05% 0.5% w/w
Technical Performance
Aluminium Staining
A cleaned aluminium coupon is placed in the test solution for 1 hour at 90°C. The coupon is removed and visually inspected. (see illustration)
Copper Strip Test
A
cleaned copper coupon is immersed in an aqueous solution of sulphur-containing
cutting fluid for
1 hour at 90°C. The coupon is removed and visually inspected.
(see
illustration)
Mild Steel Corrosion
A cleaned mild steel coupon is placed in the test solution for 3 days at 50°C. The coupon is removed and visually inspected. (see illustration)
Solubility
Soluble in water and a wide range of polar organic solvents
Pack Size
Available in 25 kg and 200 kg drums
